CNN gets approval to fly news drone

CNN has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval to fly drones while covering news events involving large crowds, according to a Wednesday announcement from the network.

The Time Warner-owned news organization said it will have the ability for the first time to fly an unmanned aircraft system, or UAS, over crowds of people at an altitude of up to 150 feet.

“This waiver signifies a critical step forward not only for CNN’s UAS operations, but also the commercial UAS industry at large,” CNN senior vice president of legal David Vigilante said in the announcement.

The FAA waiver authorizes the news organization to operate a 1.37-pound aircraft with enclosed rotors that is made of deformable material.

The drone, known as a Snap, will be provided by Vantage Robotics, which has worked in conjunction with CNN for more than two years while researching safety precautions for operating while flying over large crowds.

Duh! Why was “permission” required? This is a no brainer for the first amendment.

Sorry, but after all the bubble dwellers screamed blue bloody murder about “all the drones crashing into aircraft” the government (FAA) “had to take action for your own good”. They banned the flying of ALL MODEL AIRCRAFT near many military bases, large crowds, sporting events, national parks and required us to pay for a government license that has since been deemed unconstitutional. Nevertheless, the FAA maintains a commercial licence is required to earn any money from your toy aircraft for safety reasons. Considering these multi rotor aircraft are sold to morons in places like Walmart without even any regulations attached I suppose some precautions are necessary. Especially with an entity as unscrupulous as CNN now cluttering up the sky with theirs.

So what, they’re only going to continue telling lies and making up fake news.

Not sure this is a good idea since ISIS is telling its followers to buy drones in the country they are living in and attach bombs to drop wherever. But then, I’m not crazy about buying anything from Amazon since the far left Jeff Bezos owns it and we enrich him so that he can use more $ to support Clinton, Antifa, WSJ, and all his other leftist pet projects

That way they don’t have to put Acosta or any of their other clowns on the ground to be heckled and told just how deceitful they are.

Just plain sick. CNN stands for Corrupt News Network.

CNN and a drone. Hmm, no harm there, right? Everyone knows that computers and the drones controlled by them are impossible to hack by terrorists and Anti-American hacktivists. Once that authorization is granted to CNN it will be hard to revoke it even if the drone gets hacked and weaponized against a large crowd, like those who go to country western music festivals, which obviously are a majority of conservatives and Republicans.

Ooops! CNN drone got hacked, again, but you can trust they’ll do their best. Terrorists are now into drones big time and CNN will provide the cover to have those drones flying over crowds. Infectious agents can kill more people than bullets, so can small doses of plutonium. It wasn’t CNN’s drone, right? Someone infiltrated their own drone. Again. Killers Hillary, Obama and Soros will be the founders of the new drone NRA (National Resistance Asssasins). I’ll remember to never attend any event covered by CNN’s drones. They supposedly love America. I don’t think so. I’ve heard Satan and ISIS love America too.
