Recently on ESPN’s “Outside the Lines,” Malcolm Jenkins who plays safety for the Philadelphia Eagles explained why he decided to not visit the White House after winning the Super Bowl. He stated he had no interest in taking photos with President Trump.
“This is a celebratory type of event,” Jenkins stated. “We show up, the president walks in, shakes a couple of hands, takes a picture and leaves. This is not a meeting. So, when it comes to photo ops, I’m just not interested in a photo op. And I don’t want to be a distraction to anybody who is.”
When asked if given the opportunity to speak shortly with the President, Jenkins responded, “I’m not interested in a few moments. I want to do real work.”
