When asked by George Stephanopoulos in a recent interview why she misled the families of the 2012 Benghazi terror attack by blaming an internet video when she knew the truth, Hillary Clinton said that, “I can’t help it if that people think there has to be something else there.”
Stephanopoulos played clips of the parents of Benghazi victims pointing out how Clinton told them two weeks after the attacks that “We are going to have the filmmaker arrested who was responsible for the death of your son” even though the evidence revealed during the course of the Benghazi Committee’s investigation showed that she knew the truth — that it was a terror attack unrelated to any video — within hours.
He then asked her, “Did you tell them it was about the film? And what’s your response?”
“No,” Clinton baldly stated. “Look, I understand the continuing grief at the loss that parents experienced with the loss of these four brave Americans — and I did testify, as you know, for eleven hours — and I answered all of these questions. Now, I can’t help it that people think there has to be something else there. I said very clearly there had been a terrorist group that had taken responsibility on Facebook…”
Clinton then went on to blame her lies on the “fog of war.”
How shameful do you think it is for Hillary to essentially calls the parents of Benghazi victims liars and blame her lack of truthfulness on the “fog of war”?
